"SENTINEL"security appSentinel is an application for smart cell phones (“smartphones”) of the Municipality of Tandil, which allows the registered citizen to send an immediate report to the Operations Center in the event of an extremely urgent or serious event, basically derived from an act of insecurity, from a medical or health emergency situation or that requires the intervention of the Fire Department.Just by pressing the corresponding button, the application directly sends the report to the Operations Center. There, a qualified Operator, based on their previously registered data, will automatically know who is requesting the help, the contact details in case it is necessary to communicate with the requester and their satellite position so that they can easily find them and give them assistance. The Operator, depending on the type of emergency in question, will carry out all the steps established to proceed with the situation and articulate the resolution of the problem quickly and effectively, through the appropriate responders: Police, Ambulance and/or Firemen.If circumstances allow it, without hindering the immediacy required by communications in urgent situations and provided that the citizen has enabled the corresponding "permissions" on their device, the application also offers the additional possibility of sending photos, videos and messages to the Operations Center. event audio, emails and text notes, all through the multimedia functions of the cell phone from which the application is operated.The conditions of use and important notices to properly operate the Sentinel application are explained below:• Anyone wishing to have this municipal security service must register when downloading the "Sentinel" application from the respective virtual stores (Google Play Store or App Store).• This application is complementary to the emergency numbers 100 (Firefighters), 101 (Buenos Aires Province Police) and 107 (SAME – Integrated Health System), which are still in service.• The download and operation of the application is free. However, its use may entail the additional consumption of "data" of your cell phone service and result in additional billing by the provider of said service, which must be paid by the citizen.• The operation of this application is subject to the proper functioning of the Internet, which depends exclusively on the state of the equipment used by the citizen and their sufficient Internet connection through a data plan and/or Wi-Fi networks.• Geolocation depends on factors external to the application and may be inaccurate.• Due to difficulties with the proper functioning of the application and in case of not being able to report them from itself, claims can be made to the email [email protected]• Use of the "Sentinel" application implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
